Happy Valentine’s Day
I came across these boudiful (boudoir + beautiful) red heart-shaped tufted button slipper chairs (wow that was a mouthful) the other day online and deemed them perfect for my Valentine’s Day post and oh so boudoir worthy (although the red doesn’t really go with my color scheme). Aren’t they gorgeous? They are actually antiques circa 1940. They are for sale on 1stdibs.com.

Coincidentally the very same day that I found the chairs, I came across this Gil Elvgren pin-up who just so happened to be seated on a look-alike chair. I guess it really is authentic 1940’s boudoir decor. Just imagine these in your boudoir to sit upon while sliding on your marabou slippers…how fabulous!
