Thinking Outside the Boudoir: Sex and the City

As you may have noticed the theme on My Little Boudoir this past week has  been Sex and the City, so why not continue with that theme for this month’s Thinking Outside the Boudoir series post. For those of you just recently visiting My Little Boudoir, Thinking Outside the Boudoir, is a series where I post each month a home from the movies that I admire. While some may not be practical for everyday life, or represent my overall ideal decor, I would love to spend some time in them, even just for a night. In some it is the decor that I fancy. In others it’s the architecture or…

    Baking…in Charlotte York Goldenblatt Style

I’m sure during the next couple of months, the fashion magazines, tabloids and blogs will all be buzzing about where to find the fashions of SATC2. I’m not sure that this exactly qualifies as “fashion”, but let’s get a head start, shall we? If you’re anything like Charlotte York, you probably enjoy baking (especially with your little girl) and there is no better way to look the part than to wear this delightful cupcake apron by Jessie Steele. After all, every lady must leave the boudoir and spend time in the kitchen occasionally, so why not look fashionable while you’re at it? This darling vintage inspired apron, like the one…

    Mademoiselle Monday: Mlle Parker

“I just don’t know. It’s like I can’t imagine anyone else playing Dorothy Gale — just Judy Garland (Wizard of Oz)” – Sarah Jessica Parker (when asked if someone else would be cast to play Carrie Bradshaw if a prequel were created after Candace Bushnell’s new book The Carrie Diaries) “Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate.” – Sarah Jessica Parker 0

Sex and the City 2 Movie Premiere

I might have given my left arm for a seat at Radio City Music Hall in New York City this evening (ok, not really, but probably a pinky toe…seriously) to attend the Sex and the City 2 movie premiere. Have a gander at the beautiful ladies (and gentleman) on the red carpet. Sarah Jessica Parker is looking so glorious in her yellow Valentino gown with her sun-kissed skin! They all look stunning! We can’t forget the fellas… And last, but not least, the lady who started it all, author, Candace Bushnell… 0

Sunday’s Best: Sex and the City 2

Yes, I know, I know…it is Monday. Please forgive me for not posting “Sunday’s Best” on Sunday. I had a very busy day yesterday. I took my great-great-Aunt out for lunch and spent the afternoon with my best friend at her beautiful new home. Now, on to the exciting stuff… In honor of the big event that is coming this Thursday (that is giving women across the globe the feeling that a child gets on Christmas Eve night), I would like to share a must-see website with you. It is the blog for all things Sex and the City, particularly relating to the upcoming movie, Sex and the City 2.…

    Plexiglass Boudoir

This clip from the Prelinger archives is one that you must see (give it a few seconds to start playing….and don’t forget to scroll down and pause the My Little Boudoir Soundtrack first). You be the judge. Is this passé or futuristic? 2

    Did you miss me?

At first glance, it appears that I’ve gone into hiding. Not so. I have simply been out of town, and while I had hoped to keep up with frequent posts, it didn’t happen. The good news is, I’m back, and I’ve collected content along my journey to Chicago to share with you, so stay tuned! 0

    Mademoiselle Monday: Mlle Horne

“I made a promise to myself to be kinder to other people.” – Lena Horne “I don’t have to be an imitation of a white woman that Hollywood sort of hoped I’d become. I’m me, and I’m like nobody else.” – Lena Horne “Always be smarter than the people who hire you.” – Lena Horne “You have to be taught to be second class; you’re not born that way.” – Lena Horne 0

A Man and His Boudoir Apartment

This is an amazing video! Architect and homeowner Gary Chang created a super efficient apartment that can be transformed to serve as 24 different rooms. It’s like a boudoir apartment (minus a dressing table). Don’t forget to scroll down and pause the My Little Boudoir Soundtrack before pressing play. 1
