St. Vincent de Boudoir
Ok, I’ll admit, as much as I love a garage sale, thrift shops creep me out a little bit. Not today though! This morning I decided to go to the local St. Vincent de Paul to look for some vases or figurines that I could spray paint and upcycle into cute centerpieces for my cousins upcoming baby shower that I am helping with. No such luck there. Where I did come into some luck was when I lifted up a darling crystal paperweight (that resembled the special little box that we all love) thinking, “surely this can’t be a Tiffany & Co. paperweight.” When I picked it up and turned it…
Guess Who’s Coming to Town…
Yep, that’s right! The most fabulous macaron shop in the world is coming to NYC! This opulent patisserie is located in the upper east side at 864 Madison Avenue. Yes, I know that there are many other bakeries that sell macarons in NYC, but I’m a sucker for fancy packaging and, well, their packaging makes me swoon. I’ve never been to Laduree, but I would love to go and certainly plan to next time I’m in NYC. I’m certain their macarons have to be the best on the planet. After all, they basically invented the little piece of heaven. Here is the story as they tell it on Lauderee.fr: “The…
Maria Evora
Do you ever buy something so special that you never actually use it? I am trying to break myself of that habit. Therefore, I busted out a special bar of soap that I’ve had sitting on my bedroom vanity/desk for quite some time now. You may remember it from my post back when I made the purchase (yes, over a year has passed). Part of the reason that I didn’t want to use it was because the imprint on the front is so lovely. The soap comes in both black and white. My bar is black, as you can see. The image on the front looks like a cameo…it is…
Caron: Black and Pink
Do you remember when I told you in my Fieldtrip to Caron post about the “special order” black puff with pink ribbon? Well, I forgot that Diane, the lovely saleswoman, had emailed me a picture (when she sent the message letting me know that they had more in stock). So, what else would I do, but share it with you? Here is the photo she sent… Isn’t it dreamy? I L.O.V.E….. 0
Walk With a Cane
Walking with a “cane” has taken on a new meaning. No, I am not talking about this kind of cane… I am talking about these lovely cane bags from Tiffany & Co. I have always loved the look of cane lattice, whether it is on furniture, printed on fabric, or now….on a handbag. I am sooo in love with this first bag. Wouldn’t you feel so fabulous toting this around the beach this summer? These hand and shoulder bags are quote beautiful, too! 0
Ralph Lauren Noir
After that last long winded post, I am going to let these images speak for themselves. All I have to say is L.O.V.E.!!! 1
A Fieldtrip to Caron
I’m embarrassed to admit that three quarters of the year have passed since I originally promised this post. On a business trip to New York back in September, I extended one extra day over the weekend to do some shopping, eating, sightseeing and visiting with family. Yes, I know, ambitious plans for having only one extra day. Needless to say, I had to let go of some of my plans. One that I was not prepared to give up though, was my trip to the Caron boutique. I had seen a few posts on other blogs that I follow about this fabulous perfume house called Caron. When I saw the…
Ralph Lauren Boudoir
I thought you might enjoy these lovely boudoir photos from Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately I waited a little too long to share them wiht you and I no longer see the collection on the RL website. I’m sure you’ll delight in the inspiration nonetheless… 1
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Inspired Decor
Judging by the fact that the Tiffany & Co. Inspired Boudoir post was the most viewed post on My Little Boudoir in all of 2010, I thought you ladies might enjoy a Breakfast at Tiffany’s Inspired post. This time though, I am including decor beyond the boudoir. We all know that the main attraction of Holly Golightly’s apartment was the claw foot bathtub sofa in her living room. Here is Holly on her tub sofa, complete with brass telephone faucet and all. Through a company called Reestore, you too, can lean back and take a nice long bath rest in your living room. Don’t worry that the colors aren’t exact.…
Box of Guerlain Fragrance for the Boudoir
While searching BergdorfGoodman.com tonight, looking for this (which we’ll talk about on another occasion): I came across this: This beauty is called The 180 year Collectors Case, by Guerlain. This ultra deluxe black leather box with a gold lock and key is filled with 180 years of Guerlain fragrance, from Eau de Cologne Imperiale (created in 1853 for Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III) to Cruel Gardenia (created in 2008). Each of the 18 iconic one ounce bottles feature an Art-Deco inspired label. With three graduated rows, it is designed perfectly for display when the box is open. This “vision of elegance” (as Bergdorf’s refers to it), is a true…
