    Boudoir on a Budget: Seating

Yes, it is easy to dream about what your boudoir would look like if you could furnish it with the most luxurious of goods. That is, if price weren’t an object, which for the majority (including myself) is a dream in itself. But what about when money is a factor and you are on a budget? Clearly there is a vast gray area between luxury and budget, but today I thought I’d focus on decorating your boudoir on a budget. This will actually be a three a series of posts, because I found so many fabulous boudoir items to share with you. All furniture items are under $500 a piece.…

    Sunday’s Best: Frou Frou Fashionista

Since My Little Boudoir began in January 2010, women from 117 countries have visited. Clearly, many are unable to understand what I write about, but instead keep coming back to enjoy the many images on display. The photos that I am going to to share with you in today’s post need little explanation because they speak the international language of “Boudoir”. I would like to introduce Frou Frou Fashionista. Frou Frou Fashionista is a blog that is run by the owners of Faire Frou Frou, a luxury lingerie shop in Studio City, California. Don’t fret, if you’re not in the area they also have an online boutique. You’ll find that…

Sunday Mourning: Bumpkin on a Swing

I interrupt the regular Sunday’s Best series, to share some very sad news….. While I was visiting some of my favorite blogs from my blogroll yesterday morning, I naturally stopped by Bumpkin On A Swing to see what Lisa was writing about. I was shocked to see a guest post titled, “In Loving Memory“, telling of Lisa’s recent passing. Even though I don’t personally know Lisa, I sat at my computer and cried. I then cried again when I read Trish’s post at Pink Preppy Lilly Lover (Trish was Lisa’s bestie). In three short weeks a very aggressive form of ovarian cancer took over Lisa’s body, and she passed away.…

    Sunday’s Best: House of Turquoise

Early on in my blogging I came upon a blog called House of Turquoise. The site features picture after picture of turquoise (and other shades of blue) infused designs. Judging by all of my Tiffany & Co. related posts and the header of MyLittleBoudoir.com, you are probably well aware that I am quite fond of the color turquoise. So, as you can imagine, House of Turquoise was a treasure of a blog to find. One afternoon, to my surprise, Erin (the creator of House of Turquoise) left a comment on my Summer at Tiffany post. I have to tell you, this was a big deal to me. It was very…

Sunday’s Best: Bumpkin on a Swing

As you know, Sunday’s Best is where I highlight a blog or blog post that I enjoy. Today, I am pleased to share one of my favorite posts from Bumpkin on a Swing. This post is from her Wordless Wednesday – Legends Series, and it features all things Chanel! Wordless Wednesday is just as it sound. Pictures without words. This is only because the pictures themselves are (as they say) worth 1,000 words. At Bumpkin on a Swing, it is not only the “wordless” part that you have to look forward to, it is her charming and witty writing that draws you in and makes you feel like you’ve known…

Sunday’s Best: Hello Lover…of All Things Beautiful

Each sunday I try to showcase a blog or blogpost that I enjoy. This morning while searching online for where to find Carrie and Big’s headboard from SATC2, I stumbled upon a lovely new blog called Hello Lover…of All Things Beautiful. I was planning a nice post for all of you about Carrie and Big’s new apartment in SATC2. However, after finding the posts on Hello Lover…of All Things Beautiful, I am not even going to attempt it, because she has done an outstanding job. She even tells you where you can find the design looks for your own home! So, with that being said, I suggest you head on…

Sunday’s Best: Sex and the City 2

Yes, I know, I know…it is Monday. Please forgive me for not posting “Sunday’s Best” on Sunday. I had a very busy day yesterday. I took my great-great-Aunt out for lunch and spent the afternoon with my best friend at her beautiful new home. Now, on to the exciting stuff… In honor of the big event that is coming this Thursday (that is giving women across the globe the feeling that a child gets on Christmas Eve night), I would like to share a must-see website with you. It is the blog for all things Sex and the City, particularly relating to the upcoming movie, Sex and the City 2.…

    Sunday’s Best: Lily Lemontree

If you’re following the posts on My Little Boudoir you will know two things; that I have started a weekly series called “Sunday’s Best” where I showcase a favorite blogpost or series from another blog -and- that I have a fondness of a blog called Lily Lemontree. Instead of sharing one single post from her blog, today I am going to share a series. The series is called “Look of the Week“. The looks that she selects are so stylish, usually in neutral colors (like black…one of my favorites) with classic lines. Occasionally she’ll even throw in some casual looks, like Gwen Stefani in her Wellies, for example. Here are…

    Sunday’s Best: FrenchBlue

As part of my Sunday’s Best series (which I’ve been slacking on), I wanted to feature one of my favorite posts from a lovely blog that I follow. The blog is called FrenchBlue. The post is on Fauchon of Paris. What is Fauchon, you ask? Fauchon is a traiteur in Paris. A traiteur is basically a retailer of fine foods, that are mostly ready to eat (a fancy grocery/deli of sorts). Fauchon appears to focus a little more on the sweet side. Being obsessed with all things french (particularly Parisian), I was delighted to find out about Fauchon. I felt like the whole world knew about this fabulous place, except…

    Sunday’s Best: Chinoiserie Chic

From here on out, each Sunday, I intend to share with you a post from one (or maybe a few) of my favorite blogs. This Sunday, I would like to introduce: The owner of Chinoiserie Chic is Beth, who also is part of Style Redux (both of which, I highly recommend you visit). I first discovered Chinoiserie Chic back in December. One of the recent posts at the time was My Christmas Decorating – Dressing Room. Even though today we are almost a year away from another Christmas, the post is still appropriate to share, because what you are about to see is her fabulous boudoir (or dressing room as…
