Baking…in Charlotte York Goldenblatt Style

I’m sure during the next couple of months, the fashion magazines, tabloids and blogs will all be buzzing about where to find the fashions of SATC2. I’m not sure that this exactly qualifies as “fashion”, but let’s get a head start, shall we?

If you’re anything like Charlotte York, you probably enjoy baking (especially with your little girl) and there is no better way to look the part than to wear this delightful cupcake apron by Jessie Steele. After all, every lady must leave the boudoir and spend time in the kitchen occasionally, so why not look fashionable while you’re at it?

°°°

This darling vintage inspired apron, like the one Charlotte will be seen wearing in SATC2, can be purchased on JessieSteele.com for $32.95 (I imagine one of the more affordable looks from the movie).

If cupcakes aren’t your thing, she has a wonderful variety of hostess and chef aprons. She even has some for children.

Sex and the City 2 Movie Premiere

I might have given my left arm for a seat at Radio City Music Hall in New York City this evening (ok, not really, but probably a pinky toe…seriously) to attend the Sex and the City 2 movie premiere. Have a gander at the beautiful ladies (and gentleman) on the red carpet. Sarah Jessica Parker is looking so glorious in her yellow Valentino gown with her sun-kissed skin! They all look stunning!

Did you miss me?

At first glance, it appears that I’ve gone into hiding. Not so. I have simply been out of town, and while I had hoped to keep up with frequent posts, it didn’t happen. The good news is, I’m back, and I’ve collected content along my journey to Chicago to share with you, so stay tuned!

A Man and His Boudoir Apartment

This is an amazing video! Architect and homeowner Gary Chang created a super efficient apartment that can be transformed to serve as 24 different rooms. It’s like a boudoir apartment (minus a dressing table).

Barbie Style

If you liked the Living Like Barbie post, you’re sure to love the new Barbie Plastic Collection. This collection features some luxurious home furnishings and fashion.

Never mind the hypnotizing circle in the background, what you need to zone in on is that darling chair right in the center. Suitable for lady and little girl boudoirs alike, this rendition of Philippe Starck’s Louis Ghost Chair is so charming. It combines the sleek glamorous design of the traditional Louis Ghost Chair, but ads some whimsy with the Barbie profile sketch and subtly speaks to the feminine in all of us with the color pink. I think this would be such a perfect accent to a black and pink boudoir -or- for the “littler” boudoir (it would pair perfectly with the Barbie Bedroom Collection at Pottery Barn Kids). This retails for $650.

(barbiecollector.com)

Decorating the bathroom with these bright pink lacquer accents, by Jonathan Adler, is sure to make you feel like Barbie. Set $400.

(barbiecollector.com)

And if it’s a game room you’re looking to furnish or sports you enjoy, how about a game of Foosball with your favorite girlhood toy? It will only set you back $25,000. But…you’ll be one of six people who can say  you have a Barbie Foosball Table. 🙂

(barbiecollector.com)

Not for the modest, this show-stopping trench coat will have people thinking Barbie and Marilyn Monroe all at once. $600.
