    O Christmas Tree…How Lovely Are Your Ornaments…

It is that time of the year where I reluctantly must take down my Christmas tree.  🙁 I love Christmas so much that I begin listening to Christmas music around Halloween and I like to leave my tree up for a long time post-Christmas. The problem is, I usually get busy with work travel and then it stays up for far too long. My husband once accused me of keeping it up until May, but that’s a pure lie (I think). Saying that it was up until late Feb/early March might be the truth though (I know, I know…and yes, it’s a fake tree). Some may ask why he doesn’t…

The Suite Life…a boudoir away from home

Most hotels offer basic suites that provide larger and usually more luxurious accommodations than a standard guest room. The suites I am about to share with you though, offer a little something more. They are each themed to be perfectly desired by a lady (or even young lady) looking for a boudoir on the road. Here are my all time favorite themed suites: The Dior Suite at the St. Regis – New York, NY The Tiffany Suite at the St. Regis – New York, NY The Eloise Suite at The Plaza – New York, NY Coco Chanel Suite at the Ritz Paris – Paris, France Fairy Tale Suite at the Disneyland Hotel –…

    Barbie Style

If you liked the Living Like Barbie post, you’re sure to love the new Barbie Plastic Collection. This collection features some luxurious home furnishings and fashion. Never mind the hypnotizing circle in the background, what you need to zone in on is that darling chair right in the center. Suitable for lady and little girl boudoirs alike, this rendition of Philippe Starck’s Louis Ghost Chair is so charming. It combines the sleek glamorous design of the traditional Louis Ghost Chair, but ads some whimsy with the Barbie profile sketch and subtly speaks to the feminine in all of us with the color pink. I think this would be such a…

    Living Like Barbie

One of my favorite toys as a child was my Barbie dolls. I played with them until the sixth grade (this is when most girls had already stopped, but it was a secret that my best friend and I shared). My adoration of Barbie did not end there though. I have relived another generation with her through my daughter (who unfortunately doesn’t love her as much as I). As an adult I still enjoy Barbie from time to time. As you may have noticed in my previous post (Year of the Barbie), it is Barbie who is the subject of my 2010 calendar, both in my boudoir and at the…

    2010…Year of the Barbie

As a girl, my absolute favorite thing to do was play with Barbie dolls. I would spend hours in my bedroom playing. As an adult, I don’t love Barbie any less, our relationship has just evolved. Each year it is important to me to find the right calendar. I almost always select one of black and white photography, whether the subject is a city or a celebrity. Although, this year found one in color. My 2010 choice was the new Barbie calendar. It is full of fashion illustrations by Robert Best. I bought it at my local Costco warehouse and in the package was one large calendar (that I keep…
