    O Christmas Tree…How Lovely Are Your Ornaments…

It is that time of the year where I reluctantly must take down my Christmas tree.  🙁 I love Christmas so much that I begin listening to Christmas music around Halloween and I like to leave my tree up for a long time post-Christmas. The problem is, I usually get busy with work travel and then it stays up for far too long. My husband once accused me of keeping it up until May, but that’s a pure lie (I think). Saying that it was up until late Feb/early March might be the truth though (I know, I know…and yes, it’s a fake tree). Some may ask why he doesn’t…

“I’m not a film star, I am an actress. Being a film star is such a false life, lived for fake values and for publicity.” – Vivien Leigh “I know I am right for Scarlett. I can convince Mr. Selznick.” – Vivien Leigh “Comedy is much more difficult than tragedy-and a much better training, I think. It’s much easier to make people cry than to make them laugh.” – Vivien Leigh “I always know my lines.” – Vivien Leigh 2

He designed costumes for many hit movies, such as: Gigi (1958), Anna Karenina (1948) and My Fair Lady (1964) Now we can enjoy a bit of Cecil Beaton in our homes. His sketches were reproduced into a creation of wonderful fabrics and wallpapers. Here are some that I fancy. I especially love the Pelham Check. See more on cecilbeatonfabrics.com. Here are some examples of the fabric put to good use. Cecil Beaton was born…
