Posh Postage
Handwritten letters and cards are so meaningful. In this day and age of social media and text messages, you should make it a priority to communicate by mail to your friends and family from time-to-time. Sending “thank you” cards after the holidays is a perfect excuse! Don’t you agree that it is a pleasant delight to receive a card in the mail, among the mounds of bills and junk mail? Every boudoir should be well equipped with good stationary, and if space permits, a writing desk (in my case, my vanity doubles as a desk, for now). Since I’m all about adding beauty whenever possible, a stamp can make for…

Give-Away: Turbie Twist
I love the look of a turban on a woman. I think it is a great way to show off a beautiful face. Plus, it can serve as a quick solution on a bad hair day. Some are fancy… Some are casual… And some should only be worn in the boudoir… While there are many variations of turbans for women, a boudoir turban is a fabulous item to own. I recently purchased one in “My Little Boudoir” blue. It’s called a Turbie Twist. It can be used on wet or dry hair. It is a great way to keep your hair out of the way while applying make-up, keep it…
Boudoir Essentials: The Boudoir Slipper
Every woman with a boudoir must own a pair of fabulously feminine boudoir (or house) slippers. To me a “boudoir” slipper should be a bit dressy…not the clunkers that are typical of this day and age that often times wind up looking like a mix of an old pair of clogs and something brought back from a hunting trip. No, I’m referring to a nice dainty pair of dress slippers like these: And if it is comfort you’re longing for, how about one of these little darlings? Just imagine dusting yourself with a powder puff (last month’s boudoir essential) and slipping on a pair of these beauties…pure luxury! 3
Laundry…the Boudoir Way
Having a ladylike boudoir usually means having some fine delicate unmentionables. And when they need laundering, not just any detergent will do. When I have delicate items that require handwashing, I like to use Tocca’s fine laundry wash. It is available in four different scents, all of which are delightful. “Cleopatra” has a grapefruit cucumber scent…”Florence” has an orris rose scent…”Stella” has a blood orange scent…and “Touch” has a pomegranate and tiare flower scent. I must admit, I also have a weakness for beautiful packaging (which is all the more reason to keep it on hand). This darling bottle with Tocca’s signature pink trellis print looks adorable sitting next to the…
Boudoir Essentials: The Powder Puff
Today marks the first post in a monthly series called, Boudoir Essentials. Inspired by yesterday’s post, I thought I would begin with The Powder Puff. One item that must adorn any dressing table in a boudoir is a powder puff; used for dusting one’s body with luxurious scented and/or shimmery body powder. Here are some that I fancy. Many of which are, and will be (considering that I just purchased two of these tonight), on display in my boudoir. 0
