Reading in the “Littler” Boudoir
During a family outing to the book store one afternoon, I was browsing through the children’s section when I came across a book that I knew I wanted my daughter to have. It was a children’s book titled, Different Like Coco. A biography of sorts about the life of Coco Chanel. I pulled it from the shelf and instantly (and all at once) had to choose my words very wisely, play nonchalant, cross my fingers and say a little prayer, that it wouldn’t be one of those “mom is trying to pass a boring book off as cool, so I won’t want anything to do with it” moments. Thankfully my…

Korto Momolu (Cut-Toe) (Mo-Mo-Lu)
Many of you probably best know Korto Momolu from season five of Project Runway (which happens to be one of my very favorite television shows), but that will not be her claim to fame for long. You see, Korto is quickly overshadowing her time on Project Runway by making a name for herself as a well-respected fashion designer outside of the reality TV world. Korto is one of my very most favorite designers of all time from Project Runway. I was so disappointed when she was eliminated from the show; especially the Project Runway All-Stars episode. She’s going to make it though and show all of them who’s boss. I…

Bows…Bows…and more Bows
I don’t believe in getting too hung up on “trends”. Instead, I believe that each woman should have exceptional personal style (which still allows you to incorporate trends in a tasteful manner). However, since this trend is so feminine and classic, I thought it was fit to share it with a group of ladies, such as yourself. Bows are big this season! Here are a few looks to get you inspired. Remember, take a trend and make it work with your own personal style! 0

Give-Away: Vintage Chanel Print
Some of you may remember my post back on January 22nd titled, “Boudoir Treasure…Vintage Chanel Print” about my fabulous ebay find; a vintage Chanel print ad. Well, as I stated, I bought two. One for me and one for a lucky My Little Boudoir reader. This beautiful original 1944 Chanel powder print ad could be yours. Imagine how beautiful it would be if you framed it in black and hung it upon the wall in your boudoir, perhaps near your dressing table. The small text reads, “A VERY FINE FACE POWDER WITH THE MOST TREASURED NAME IN PERFUME.” Enough said. You can be entered to win by doing any of…

Fashion for Relief
Since I’m guessing that most of you (including me) didn’t have the opportunity to attend Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief fashion show that I posted pre-sale ticket information for back on February 5th (followed by an update the same day), I wanted to share a video clip from the show. I would have loved to have been there to support such a great cause and have the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous fashion show at the same time. 0

Olympic Fashion: Best Dressed List
Many of us are use to seeing a best (or worst) dressed list for the Grammy’s and Oscar’s, however this time around, it’s for the 2010 Winter Olympics Parade of Nations that were part of the opening ceremonies this past Friday. While it is most certainly appropriate to wear sweat suits, snow gear or down jackets as an Olympic athletic team, my votes go to those teams that were able to balance the sporting gear with some genuine style. Let’s roll out the red carpet (I mean white arena floor) and welcome the … Top 5 best dressed Olympic teams, in order: 5. ITALY Not so difficult to guess that…

Boudoir Essentials: The Boudoir Slipper
Every woman with a boudoir must own a pair of fabulously feminine boudoir (or house) slippers. To me a “boudoir” slipper should be a bit dressy…not the clunkers that are typical of this day and age that often times wind up looking like a mix of an old pair of clogs and something brought back from a hunting trip. No, I’m referring to a nice dainty pair of dress slippers like these: And if it is comfort you’re longing for, how about one of these little darlings? Just imagine dusting yourself with a powder puff (last month’s boudoir essential) and slipping on a pair of these beauties…pure luxury! 3

Update: Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief
Ok, I just found out a little bit more about the fashion show from my previous post. It is being hosted by Sarah Ferguson, Dutchess of York. The show will feature many internationally recognized designers, celebrities and VIP’s. The looks will be auctioned at a later date via net-a-porter. The funds, which are being raised for Haiti, will mainly go to rebuilding the healthcare system for women and children. Now, for all of you that aren’t American Express cardholders, it appears that this is simply a pre-sale for Amex holders. So, I have a hunch that the tickets will be made available to the general public after the pre-sale, which…
