Hermès Lined Drawers
A few years ago I picked up some Hermès drawer liner when I was in Miami at Bal Harbour. There is not an Hermès boutique near where I live. If you don’t have one near your home either, you can also purchase it on the Hermès website. Upon returning home, I immediately lined my half of the dresser drawers, but there were a couple of sheets left over, which just remained in the box for the past few years. I decided to take it out a few weeks ago and put it to use. I was surprised that they were still very fragrant after all that time. {my apologies on the poor…
Ritz Paris Renovations
I like to keep myself in-the-know about the Ritz Paris renovations, so I regularly visit their website to view the progress. While on their website, I also enjoy many of the historic stories and such that they rotate on a frequent basis. I would encourage you to take a look at their website periodically, if this is not already something you make a habit of. I am in the travel industry, so I guess there is this sort of fascination with luxury hotels to begin with, but better than just any luxury hotel, the Ritz Paris is the most iconic location for the rich and famous in Paris (where many…
Floating Boudoir
Look at these amazing boudoir photos… Well, believe it or not, these are actually staterooms on a cruise. Yes, that’s right, no tacky carpet resembling a casino floor or geometric printed bedding (my stereotype of a bad stateroom). These are beautiful floating boudoirs! My husband and I are looking to plan a dream vacation. Though I’ve never considered myself a “cruise” person, I am really considering a Uniworld cruise. Not to fear…no Titanic moments on this beauty. This is a river cruise! …
Chanel Inspired Boudoir
If there are two things I know about the readers of My Little Boudoir…it is that you adore both a ladies boudoir and all things Chanel. This post is all about the blending of the two. This has been a long time in the making, because I knew there could be nothing less than the best if we’re talking Chanel. In these design ideas you will find that I infused inspirations from Chanel designs, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel (her personal life and style), as well as elements from her private apartment. So, without further adieu, I present you with the elements of a Chanel inspired boudoir. Enjoy! 1. WALLS Chanel’s iconic…
Win a Trip to Paris!
For some reason lately I have been majorly obsessed with going on holiday to Paris. I’ve been twice before, but about ten years have passed since my last trip (that was the trip when I was first introduced to Sephora). Learning that a visit to Coco Chanel’s apartment was within reach is what really sent me over the edge. Unfortunately my camera was a piece’o’junk on my last trip, or otherwise I would jump on an opportunity that I received an email about this afternoon. As you can see in this email, Air Tahiti Nui is running a contest to win a trip to Paris. To learn more and enter,…
Visiting Coco
Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m a magazineaholic… (You say: “Hi, Sarah”) Yes, it’s true. I am addicted to magazines. Not cigarettes. Not alcohol. Not lattes. Magazines. I spend quite a lot of time in my boudoir thumbing through various fashion, decor and gossip magazines. Even when I venture outside of my boudoir, I like to take in a good magazine. I have to admit, when I’m at a doctor’s office with good magazines, I sit in the waiting room hoping that they’re late to call me into the room so that I can enjoy all of them. I even get a little annoyed by cheap doctors who only…
Sunday’s Best: FrenchBlue
As part of my Sunday’s Best series (which I’ve been slacking on), I wanted to feature one of my favorite posts from a lovely blog that I follow. The blog is called FrenchBlue. The post is on Fauchon of Paris. What is Fauchon, you ask? Fauchon is a traiteur in Paris. A traiteur is basically a retailer of fine foods, that are mostly ready to eat (a fancy grocery/deli of sorts). Fauchon appears to focus a little more on the sweet side. Being obsessed with all things french (particularly Parisian), I was delighted to find out about Fauchon. I felt like the whole world knew about this fabulous place, except…
Chocolaty Goodness at Max Brenner’s
I saw Max Brenner’s Chocolate by the Bald Man on the Food Network a few years ago and kept it on my list of places to go. On my trip to New York City in September of 2007 I recommended it for a breakfast meeting with one of my vendors. The place was everything I expected and more. Max Brenner’s is located at 841 Broadway between 13th and 14th streets, near Union Square. When you walk in, it’s like Willy Wonka meets a Parisian Café, but in the middle of NYC. Since I love all things Paris and all things New York and chocolate…I was in heaven. The hot chocolate…
