    Janet Hill

As part of my pandemic shopping, I wanted to get some new artwork. One of my orders was a purchase that I made on Etsy from an artist that I’ve followed for a while now. I’ve you’re not already in the know, please allow me to introduce you to Janet Hill. I want to live in her paintings! They depict a mix of style and beauty reminiscent of a Slim Aarons photo shoot. Slim once said he photographed “attractive people who were doing attractive things in attractive places.” The scenes give off a vintage vibe, reminiscent of a 1940’s to 1960’s socialite lifestyle. The women are elegant, the decor is…

    Timree Discovery

A couple of years ago, my daughter and I went to Michael’s to pick up a marquee letter for my baby boy’s nursery. While I was there (as usual) I could not pass up a browse at the dollar bins. I was so happy when I saw a darling collection that was screaming “Boudoir.” There were note cards, pencils and more, adorned with lipstick, perfume, powder puffs and all kinds of girly stuff! So, you know I had to pick up some for me, and for one of you (see details below). The most ironic part of this story happened a few days later during a meeting with one of…

    Vintage Baby Shower

Let me begin by saying that having my son and going through a relatively healthy pregnancy is one of the best blessings ever bestowed upon me and I am forever grateful. With that said, I have two disappointments that occurred during my pregnancy (if we’re not counting that my ankles were practically the size of my thighs): 1. I didn’t have professional maternity photos taken. 2. My baby shower photos turned out blurry, due to a bad camera. Despite it, my baby shower was great; I just wish I had more detailed (and clear) photos to remember it by. I waited a long time to get pregnant (went through fertility…

    O Christmas Tree…How Lovely Are Your Ornaments…

It is that time of the year where I reluctantly must take down my Christmas tree.  🙁 I love Christmas so much that I begin listening to Christmas music around Halloween and I like to leave my tree up for a long time post-Christmas. The problem is, I usually get busy with work travel and then it stays up for far too long. My husband once accused me of keeping it up until May, but that’s a pure lie (I think). Saying that it was up until late Feb/early March might be the truth though (I know, I know…and yes, it’s a fake tree). Some may ask why he doesn’t…

    Theme Park Boudoir (part two)

To me, a boudoir is like a fantasy world. A place where you can relax and get away from the stress of everyday life. A place where your imagination can take you to another world. The feeling of such a magical place does not have to be reserved for only the times when you are at home, because one can enjoy a boudoir while traveling, too. You will see this in some of my other posts, like Floating Boudoir, The Suite Life…a boudoir away from home and Theme Park Boudoir (part one) to name a few. If you are a self-proclaimed Disney fanatic, then you’ll love this boudoir-away-from-home. Before you get too…

    Chevron Drawers

I recently found this Chevron print drawer liner for my daughter’s boudoir. It was only about $4 per roll at Marshall’s. It took two rolls to finish it off. 1

    A Cure for Cotton

In a quest to try to organize my boudoir (I say “quest” because I share the boudoir with my husband and my desk doubles as my vanity…ugh…this is why you’ve yet to see photos of the “boudoir”), I was in need of one place to store all of my cotton. Cotton balls, Q-tips and my Chanel Le Coton, that is. Previously, I had my Q-tips in this little pink glass votive holder (that I picked up at the dollar store or something). I had my cotton balls in this green faux alligator skin container. And, my Le Coton was in it’s original packaging.   Then, one day on a shopping trip to…

    Chanel Trolley…the San Francisco Treat

A few nights ago, after a hard day at work, I decompressed by visiting some of my favorite blogs. Whilst doing so, I came across a post that is a goodie and must be shared. The blog is called La Chanelphile. Yep, that’s right, the blog is about all things Chanel. If you’ve followed My Little Boudoir very long, you will know that I, too, love all things Chanel. I also have an “All Things Chanel” board on Pinterest. Ok…ok…you get the point. So, here it is…a real San Francisco treat…a Chanel trolley, complete with tweed upholstery and a Chanel N5 exhibit. Here is the glorious trolley. To see the…
